At the start of this year, Prewise took over the maintenance of the web portal www.ruokala.tv and responsibility for site development. Ruokala.tv is produced by Viestintäyhtiö Ruokala Oy. No time was wasted in getting the development work rolling, and during the spring countless home chefs have had the opportunity to sample ruokala.tv’s new and delicious services.
Ruokala.tv is the premier community for
home chefs on the Internet. Pick up the most
delicious tips for summer barbecues and
leisurely coffee breaks.
One of the first tasks was to link the service to MTV3 navigation. This increased the number of visitors phenomenally. A new service, “Canteen Coffee Shop” (Ruokalan kahvila), was added to the site. It gives visitors coffee recipes, reviews of food-oriented books and magazines as well as advice and tips for the home barista. The new service also includes a section, in which an interviewer shares a cup of coffee with a public figure and quizzes him or her about their opinions relating to coffee.
During spring, we also redesigned and rejuvenated the Spice Shelf (Maustekaappi) pages of the site. It includes tips for and trends in using spices at home.
We are continuing to develop the www.ruokala.tv website and generate new ideas for it. We aim to retain the site’s number one position as the premier Internet community for home chefs. With the great variety of its content and the up-to-date issues discussed, the Internet service complements the weekday TV programme on MTV3.
