Dream job – versatile work assignments and interesting clients
Hanna Nissinen, who has worked at Prewise around three years, is happy being able to draw and write for a living. Prewise’s great projects motivate Hanna to give her best effort for the job and she can genuinely be proud of the results.
- A great job is such when you never feel annoyed coming to the office in the mornings, even if you don’t like waking up early. A good workplace ambiance is important for me, as well as thanking employees when there is a reason for it, and the support for individual development.
- Mutual flexibility is also important. At Prewise we can go to work flexibly according to flexitime. It’s nice to know that you can arrange your working hours to suit your personal needs when necessary, and your life doesn’t have to be devoted to work only.

Your typical workday?
- I began my career at Prewise as a Graphic Designer and now I am going more and more towards concept designing and writing. As a Concept Designer my workday consists of writing, sending emails, familiarizing with the background materials and going to the meetings.
- I usually have many different projects at different stages: while I’m doing an outline structure to one project, I might be finishing texts to another based on the client’s comments, and to the third project I might be briefing the Graphic Designer. I communicate a lot with the Project Manager, Graphic Designers and Flash Designers on the projects’ content and progression. In addition to the internal meetings I also rush to clients’ project meetings at times.
What do you like the most in your job?
- As a child I never had a dream profession, but it was a great moment to realize that as simple as it sounds I ”draw and write” for a living. I like that I can do varied assignments and that I can also utilize my visual competence and understanding in concept designing.
- I also feel that it’s really interesting to get acquainted with different customer organizations and ways of working. I like the conversations and the brainstorming with the clients when we are choosing the main points for e-learning courses and when we are engrossed in the target group’s challenges.
What kind of colleagues you get at Prewise?
- Motivated, competent and helpful, not to forget international! Employee change between Prewise’s different offices is a great value. In addition to the company’s informal events we have also organized optional free time activities such as sushi dinners, trips to St. Petersburg and camping trips. It’s nice to notice that you enjoy being with your colleagues also after office hours.
What have you discovered from yourself during the years at Prewise?
- I started here as a Graphic Designer and then began to do concept designing and writing as well. As a ”Junior” in Concept Designing I first assisted in training course projects, but now I have got more responsibility and I have been able to design bigger training series.
- At Prewise I have gained confidence and faith that I can develop in different work assignments. I enjoy mastering bigger entities and it feels great to be able to supplement the work team by your own competence and talent.
What motivates you to give your best contribution to work?
- The fact that my contribution matters. I feel that we are making truly amazing projects here at Prewise and I’m proud of the outcomes. The client’s satisfaction to the end product which was created together - whether it was an online course, portal or banner, rewards and motivates the implementation of the future projects.
- I am excited for the new projects on hand. Last year we made many interesting projects, and it will be great to be able to apply the ideas emerged from them to different clients. I definitely want to develop as a writer as well and to come up with new different approaches to illustrate different things.
