New image and content for the Ruokala.tv webservice
The Ruokala communications company, which produces a television programme entitled Ruokala for the MTV3 channel, has changed the visual appearance of its www.ruokala.tv web service. The transformation also included giving a new fresh look and content to the Ruokala weekly bulletin as well as the creation of the new Viinikellari (Wine Cellar) website.
The changes to the weekly bulletin and the creation of the Wine Cellar site are as a result of collaboration between Ruokala and Altia. Altia has outsourced to Ruokala its own electronic weekly bulletin, Pulloposti (Bottle Post). In future Ruokala and Pulloposti weekly bulletin subscribers receive the renewed Ruokala weekly bulletin, which now contains both food theme and latest wine topics.
- The reforms add to the diversity of content on our website and provide extensive and expert wine facts to our Hyvä Maku (Good Taste) insiders, says Chef Teresa Välimäki, producer of the communications company Ruokala.
A popular web service
- Our website is tremendously popular. We get about 200,000 hits a month and our visitors expect the whole service to be revamped now and then. We don't want to get stuck in a groove. We are continuously developing Ruokala, in order to increase it’s offering as a diverse food-related portal, says Ms Välimäki.
- The Viinikellari website, which was merged into the Ruokala website, was created using the Prewise Gimlet CMS publishing system. The system is user-friendly and lends itself to the publishing needs of organisations of many different sizes. It was proved to be ideal for Ruokala, says Project Director Leena Laaksonen from Prewise.
- Go and see what www.ruokala.tv service can offer you. It provides a constant stream of new ideas and tips for food and cooking, Teresa Välimäki puts in a final word of encouragement.
