Extensive image and media bank for Dolphin Energy
Prewise Middle East and Dolphin Energy have reached an agreement concerning the provision of an extensive image and media bank system for use by Dolphin Energy’s communication, training and marketing units. The Prewise Gimlet CMS publishing system has been used to produce the image and media bank.
Prewise Middle East will deliver the project to the customer, but the technical implementation has been carried out entirely in Finland.
Prewise Gimlet is able to handle large data volumes
Several thousand high quality photographs as well as video material will be stored in the image and media bank right at the initial stages, which means that the system must be able to cope with huge data volumes.
- The extent of the material and the diverse classification criteria posed various challenges for the system. Fortunately, the Prewise Gimlet CMS system has been able to meet these challenges. Despite the huge volumes, the system is reliable and fast, says Prewise’s Ilkka Oksanen, Technical Product Manager for the Gimlet product.
Branding gives flexibility
The media bank for Dolphin Energy is a good example of the flexibility and scalability of the technical architecture used in the Gimlet system. In this project, the only customer-specific tailoring that was required involved the public interface, in which the appearance of the image bank has been harmonized with the customer’s own visual image and integrated with the rest of the operating logistics of the current network services.

- Project implementation and the accommodation with the customer’s requirements has been a smooth operation. Prewise’s long experience of working in Abu Dhabi within the local business culture has boosted progress.
- It is worth stressing that this is by no means a given thing or always the norm in the UAE”, points out Risto Marttila, Manager of Prewise Middle East.
