Capitals Golf Club chose Prewise

In the coming golf season, Capitals Golf Club will open the first full-length golf course in Lithuania. Prewise is responsible for developing and supplying the golf club’s data systems.

This spring will see the opening of the first full-length golf course in Lithuania. It is located a short drive of about 50 kilometres from Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania. Part of the course was opened for golfers last year, and the designers have been praised for the fairway planning as well as the beautiful surroundings.

Prewise will produce a total data system for Capitals Golf Club which will be used to manage the membership register, payment administration, game statistics and all the other data management requirements of a golf club. The part that will be the most visible for golfers is the web service, which will be completely revamped during spring 2006. The Prewise Gimlet CMS publishing system will be used in project implementation.

Modernizing the data systems

As the new course opens, Capitals Golf Club also wants to develop its web services as well as the golf data systems, to bring them up to the level and image of the rest of the services provided by the golf club. UAB Prewise, the Lithuanian arm of the Prewise Group, is the chosen partner for this project.

- The Gimlet CMS publishing system works well as a platform for constructing the total service package. From the start, cooperation between Capitals Golf Club and Prewise has been smooth and the work has progressed according to plan, says Tomas Sakalauskas, Managing Director of UAB Prewise.
