Ability, method and technique
Competence comes in different guises, and so do learning situations. It follows that different people and companies need different kinds of training. In past years, e-training has suffered from over-sophisticated tools for the purpose; the method exceeds the circumstances and the objectives. More and more refined interactive e-training environments have emerged, where the constructivist learning modes have taken centre stage. Often, however, the results achieved through these modes have been less than brilliant.
Prewise’s core operating premise is the concept of information marketing which tries to distinguish between different learning situations and different learners’ varying motivation bases. Different circumstances have to be approached with different solutions and training modes. This means that the data systems that are used to support and administrate the training and learning have to be particularly flexible and open to administration.
Throughout our two-year operating period we have invested in the development of e-learning tools which are able to meet the challenges posed by the variations in training circumstances and methods. It is nearly time to enter the public domain with the results of our work. The Prewise Gimlet e-learning environment will be launched in the spring.
